  • The play "Let's Get Hitched" is in Crown Point - LET'S GET HITCHED! By Marion Kellum, is a zany romantic comedy set during Crown Point's Marriage Mill period. The date is March 14, 1923, the day before silent movie star, Rudolf Valentino, came to Crown Point to "get hitched". The event made headlines nationwide. It's the era of flappers, and prohibition and silent movies. The story follows three comical mismatched couples and the people who are trying to stop them from getting married.

Music and fashions of the 20s will be an integral part of the show and laughter will punctuate the evening. The doors, and the music and bar open at 6:30 and the catered dinner will be served 7:00.

FROZEN STIFF, a farcical murder mystery dinner/theater play was produced by the Lake Court House Foundation in 2012 and played to sold out audiences. LET'S GET HITCHED looks to be even funnier.

LET'S GET HITCHED! Is scheduled for April 17th and 18th at 7:00 and April 19th at 2:00, and the next weekend April 24th and 25th at 7:00 and April 26th at 2:00.
