September is Healthy Aging Month | NATL - Public Interest- For the month of September, focus on the positive aspects of growing older by celebrating Healthy Aging Month! Babe Ruth Calls His Shot?: Anniversary | NATL - MLB- October 1, 1932 in the fifth inning of game three of the 1932 World Series, with a count of two balls and two strikes, Babe Ruth pointed to the center field bleachers in Chicago's Wrigley Field and followed up by hitting a soaring home run high above the very spot to which he had just gestured. Did he really call his shot? Some Disagree, some eyewitnesses and Cubs pitcher Charlie Root believe he did not. Even Babe Ruth's Daughter said that he denied it, but Babe himself also claimed he did it.

Sweetest Day | NATL - Public Interest- Sweetest Day originated in Cleveland, Ohio in 1922. Herbert Birch Kingston, a philanthropist and candy company employee wanted to bring happiness into the lives of the sick, orphans, shut-ins and others who were forgotten by distributing candy to them. Thus, Sweetest Day was born. Today is the day to do something nice for someone that will make him or her say, "Oh, that's so sweet!" Annually, the third Saturday in October.
