  • | 7:00pm - | Community and Civic Groups, Clubs, Line Dancing, Waxhaw, Waxhaw Line Dancers, NC
    - The Club is dancing every Friday night at the Waxhaw American Legion Hall. The doors open at 7 PM and lessons start around 7:30 PM for approximately 60 to 90 minutes. Open dancing follows until close.

We teach a new dance (sometimes two) every week. The new dance is then reviewed for two more weeks for a total of three weeks at which time the dance goes into rotation for our open dance session. Of course if it is a more difficult dance or our dancers need more instruction, we will continue to review it until we feel ready to add it to our open dance repertoire. We encourage our dancers to speak up during the lesson if anyone has a question about the step(s) or having difficulty with any portion of the dance to ensure everyone has a good time and doesn't get frustrated. Remember, there are no silly questions and we are all here to help each other.

Member - $20.00 per person monthly membership dues (paid on the first Friday of the month) entitles member to all Friday night dances during that month.

Associate Member - $12.00 per person monthly associate member dues (paid on the first, second, or third Friday of the month) entitles associate member to two Friday night dances in the same month that dues are paid.

Guests or General Admission - (anyone not paying Member or Associate member dues) is charged $8.00 general admission at the door.

Meet Jean Lafitte, be amazed by cannon and period fire arms fire, as well as some good old fashion sword play. Hear tall tales of bravery and even talk to a mermaid. Get some selfies with your favorite buccaneer. Bring a picnic lunch and hang all day with the Pirates, maybe get a piece of eight or two. Bring the young Pirates 14 and under in garb and win a prize. Enjoy a family oriented day of pillaging and cohorting with a ship load of ne'er-do-wells and travel back in time to an age when the sea and freedom made legends of common men. Bring the lads and lasses on out. What's better than a day of history and rubbing elbows with Andrew Jackson and Jean Lafitte?
