    - One of the most venerated saints of both Eastern and Western Christian churches, of whose life little is known. Except for the fact that he was a Bishop of Myra (now Turkey) in the fourth century, and that from early times he was noted for his charity. Santa Claus and the presentation of gifts is said to derive from St. Nicholas.

    - The Black Sheep Agency + Friends Present CareAll 2016

Bundle up, bring a blanket, prepare your festive taste buds and join the Black Sheep Agency as we screen (hands on cheeks!) Home Alone on the Lawn at White Oak Music Hall for a night of holiday camaraderie.

Returning for its fourth year, the Black Sheep Agency presents #CareAll2016 Netflix + Chill, benefiting the incredible kids of Boys & Girls Harbor!

The thing about Netflix + Chill is that there are those who like to actually watch the film, and those who would rather hang out over a few jolly brewskis with some background noise from the big screen. Come one, come all!
In the spirit of this event and all of its predecessors, entry will be presents like a child’s toy, book or an Amazon/iTunes gift card. B&GH curates a Teen Gift Wish List here because, after all, they're in need of some of the same things we are—shaving kits and hair products, belts, headphones and a little room decor for their own spaces.

Along with entry donations, you will have tons of opportunities to give back to Boys & Girls Harbor at the event provided by our incredible community partners listed below! From brews to festive cocktails, holiday popcorn, hotdogs and potentially a few Home Alone-inspired gigs, every experience gives back a percentage of their proceeds.

Movie starts at 7:30 p.m., but come early to grab popcorn and a spot on the Lawn!

  • - On December 7, 1941 at 7:55AM (local time), "a date that will live in infamy," nearly 200 Japanese aircraft attacked Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, long considered the US "Gibraltar of the Pacific." The raid, which lasted little more than one hour, left nearly 3,000 dead. Almost the entire US Pacific Fleet was at anchor there, and few ships escaped damage. Several were sunk or disabled, while 200 US aircraft on the ground were destroyed. The attack on Pearl Harbor brought about immediate US entry into WWII, a declaration of war being requested by President Franklin D. Roosevelt and approved by Congress December 8, 1941.

    - Boxing Day is December 26, the day after Christmas, and is celebrated in Great Britain and in most areas settled by the English (the U.S. is the major exception), including Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Some historians say the holiday developed because servants were required to work on Christmas Day, but took the following day off. As servants prepared to leave to visit their families, their employers would present them with gift boxes.

  • - The holiday schedules for the various exchanges are subject to change if relevant rules, regulations or exchange polices are revised.
