    - Develop into the best leader you can be. No matter where you are in the leadership process, you will want to learn each and every law to develop into the best leader you can be. As leaders, we can’t hit plateaus and be complacent with where we are. We must play to win, rather than playing not to lose.

Rising leaders want to learn from those who are leading themselves well. That leadership begins with intentional growth. Giving of ourselves leads to the most rewarding harvest: leaders who attribute their growth and success to our dedication to development.

Over the course of 4 months, we will cover 12 of the 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership based on the book by John C. Maxwell. You will walk away with a minimum of one mind changing idea each month to implement to take you to your next level of success.

Join forces with a group of like-minded individuals who are focused on taking results in every area of their lives to a new level. Having the support and ideas from other focused and driven people allows us to see things differently and to get a new perspective on goals and action plans.

The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness.

The St. Louis Park American Legion Post 282 has been a member of the community for decades. As some of you may be aware, the Post must relocate. We are on a fixed budget and are trying to raise $50,000 to help fund kitchen upgrades at a new facility to make it fully functional.

We hope you will consider helping us by making a tax-deductible donation. Please make checks payable to:

    American Legion Post 282

  • - October 1, 1932 in the fifth inning of game three of the 1932 World Series, with a count of two balls and two strikes, Babe Ruth pointed to the center field bleachers in Chicago's Wrigley Field and followed up by hitting a soaring home run high above the very spot to which he had just gestured. Did he really call his shot? Some Disagree, some eyewitnesses and Cubs pitcher Charlie Root believe he did not. Even Babe Ruth's Daughter said that he denied it, but Babe himself also claimed he did it.
