Boston Tea Party Anniversary | NATL - Historical- On this date in 1773, the Sons of Liberty, some disguised as Native Americans, boarded three British vessels at Griffin's Wharf, Boston Harbor. Contents of 342 chests of tea were dumped into the harbor as a protest against the Tea Act of 1773 by the American Colonists.

Wright Brothers First Powered Flight | NATL - Historical- On this date in 1903, Orville and Wilbur Wright, after 3 years of experimentations with kites and gliders, achieved the first documented successful powered and controlled flights of an airplane. The flight was sustained for less than a minute but represented man's first powered airplane flight and the beginning of a new form of transportation.

Christmas | NATL - Religious- Christmas or Christmas Day is an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, observed most commonly on December 25 as a religious and cultural celebration among billions of people around the world.

Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl | NATL - Sports and Entertainment- In 2014, the BCS conference commissioners selected the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl as one of six elite bowl games to host the new College Football Playoff. Starting in 2016, Chick-fil-A Bowl will host a national Semifinal Game (#1 vs. #4 or #2 vs. #3) four times over the next 12 years. In the other eight years, the Bowl will host top ranked teams from around the country as assigned by a selection committee. The bowl will be located in Atlanta, GA at the Georgia Dome.

Las Vegas Free to Breathe 5K Run/Walk | 7:30am - 10:30am | Charity, Fundraiser, lung cancer, run, walk, fun run, charity, fundraiser, cancer, volunteer- Hundreds of local residents are joining forces to fight lung cancer, united in the belief that surviving lung cancer should be the expectation, not the exception. These everyday superheroes will be meeting at the Las Vegas Free to Breathe 5K Run/Walk and 1-mile Walk on Saturday, May 20 at Sunset Park – Area F (2601 E Sunset Road, Las Vegas, NV 89120). All proceeds from the event support Free to Breathe, a lung cancer research and advocacy organization dedicating to doubling lung cancer survival by 2022.
