  • | 8:00am - 9:00pm | Local Events, tattoo, removal, ink, military
    - Military Tattoo Guidelines

Many people come to us for the purpose of removing their tattoos for the military. While these new policy changes have made it more acceptable to have tattoos and be in the military, some tattoos may still keep you from being able to join. If you need to remove your tattoo(s) in order to enlist, give us a call and we can help you out! 810-632-6123.
Each branch of the military has their own specific regulations about what and where tattoos are acceptable. Recently, the U.S. Marine Corps published these new rules and they were outlined as:
    Head
    • Neck
    • Area 2 inches or less above the center of the elbow and 1 inch or less below.
    • Area 2 inches or less above wrist
    • Hands, with the exception of a single band tattoo on one finger that is no more than 3/8 of an inch thick.
    • The area 2 inches above and below the center of the kneecap.
Additionally, these more specific rules tell what tattoos are authorized:
    • Tattoos on the chest must be below the collarbone. They must not be visible when a Marine is wearing a crew-neck T-shirt.
    • Any tattoos on Marines’ backs must be below the seventh vertebrae.
    • Any band tattoos that can be seen in a physical training uniform can’t exceed 3 inches or the width of the wearer’s four fingers, while joined and extended.
    • Tattoos on the upper arms can’t fall within 2 inches of the elbow.
    • Any tattoos on the lower arm must be at least an inch below the elbow.
    • Marines’ tattoos must be at least 2 inches above the wrist.
    • Marines can have a single band tattoo on one finger. The tattoo’s width must not exceed 3/8 of an inch.
    • Marines must be able to cover any tattoos on their upper legs that show in a PT uniform with their hand. They also must be at least 2 inches above the knee.
    • Any tattoos on the lower leg must be at least 2 inches below the knee.
    • Marines must be able to cover any single tattoos on their feet with their hand.

    - Everyone knows we provide Botox and skincare but many miss the fact that we also deal with hair loss. Hair loss is a serious problem affecting a vast number of people. Contrary to popular belief, we can always slow or stop the hair loss process and in most cases reverse it. Doing so is complicated because hair loss is a symptom rathar than a specific malady. So a clients history is important in determining the cause of hair loss. Fountain of Youth carries Ducray hair loss kits. These kits include vitamin supplements. The Neoptide hair lotion for men has clinically shown to strengthen thinning hair, preserves hair density, and absorbs immediately into the scalp without oily residue. The Neoptdie for women is formulated to normalize the hair cycle leaving hair stronger, fuller and healthier looking.'

Hair loss is caused by the body reacting to various factors such as child birth, seasonal changes, unbalanced diet, and emotion/post surgical stress, to name a few. The Creatism hair lotion helps nutritional exchange in the hair bulb. The Anaphase cream shampoo effectively cleanses while revitalizing the hair and the Anacaps dietary supplement nourishes and strenghtens hair and nails.

Join us on September 28th from 6 - 7 pm and learn how Ducray can help you defy hair loss. This informative presentation will give you the knowledge and tools you need to start on a path to a healthier you. Bring your questions to us and expand your knowledge with an expert.

  • - October 1, 1932 in the fifth inning of game three of the 1932 World Series, with a count of two balls and two strikes, Babe Ruth pointed to the center field bleachers in Chicago's Wrigley Field and followed up by hitting a soaring home run high above the very spot to which he had just gestured. Did he really call his shot? Some Disagree, some eyewitnesses and Cubs pitcher Charlie Root believe he did not. Even Babe Ruth's Daughter said that he denied it, but Babe himself also claimed he did it.
