14th Annual Congaree SwampFest | 11:00am - 4:00pm | Shows, Festivals, and Fairs- Bluegrass, Blues, For the Family, Line Dancing, Fair/Festival
The Congaree SwampFest will take place in two locations – The Congaree National Park and the “Yard” of Old Mt. Moriah. Activities will run throughout the day, offering FREE admission and a great opportunity for visitors to experience the richly diverse culture of the Lower Richland Heritage Corridor. FREE parking will be available near the Old Mount Moriah festival site, with some limited free parking in the Congaree National Park. FREE shuttle buses will carry visitors to/from the festival site and the national park. An array of artists will perform: 2 For The Road w/Jim Graddick, Arrington Jones, Beulah Boys of Atlanta, BluesBox 50, Cultural Expressions, Deacon Joe Davis & Chosen, Entity Band, Fine Thymes String Band, Myisha Thomas, Sumter Tribe of Cheraw Indians, The Pickin Pearls and Wateree Association Choir. Other activities presently include children’s carnival, wagon rides, guided tours of Congaree National Park, and food/non-food vendors.

Did he really call his shot? Some Disagree, some eyewitnesses and Cubs pitcher Charlie Root believe he did not. Even Babe Ruth's Daughter said that he denied it, but Babe himself also claimed he did it.
