CosPlay 5k: Heroes vs. Villains | 9:00am - 12:00pm | Arts and Entertainment- CosPlay 5k Run - 9am
The 5k race is a straight forward 5k (3.1 mile) run. The course will cover portions of Tom Brown Park, Easterwood Drive, Weems Road, and Goose Pond Trail. Awards will be given for top three male and female overall as well as the top three in the standard five year age brackets.
CosPlay 3k: Heroes vs. Villains - 10am
The course is a 3k (1.86 miles) and will be run on paths at Tom Brown Park. There will be several switch backs so that even the fastest runner will have to have a strategy for the enemy.
You’ll be running as either a hero or a villain. Heroes and villains will be designated by different colors of flag football belts with tear-away flags worn around the waist. If you are a hero, you are trying to take the villains' flags to vanquish the villain and if you are a villain, then you’re trying to take the heroes' flags to crush the hero!
Awards for top three male and female finishers, most heroes crushed by a villain, most villains vanquished by a hero, and best sidekick time (runners under 10 years old).
Costume Contest and Awards– 10:30am
Costume contest will have top three awards for best existing hero, villain, and sidekick; best invented hero, villain, and sidekick; and best team costumes and family costumes.
