    - The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. Our Task Force is a privately funded organization whose purpose is to encourage participation on the National Day of Prayer. It exists to communicate with every individual the need for personal repentance and prayer, to create appropriate materials, and to mobilize the Christian community to intercede for America’s leaders and its families. The Task Force represents a Judeo-Christian expression of the national observance, based on our understanding that this country was birthed in prayer and in reverence for the God of the Bible.

  • | 10:00am - 2:00pm | Arts and Entertainment, 1700's village, music, art, blacksmith demo, antique tractors & Ford Cars, etc.
    - A Relaxing Step Back in Time

Enjoy a relaxing day in this once-bustling village. Once a year we celebrate the by-gone days of this 1700s village. Old timers sit on the porch swapping old stories, listening to old time/folk music jamming, join in with folks clogging, flat foot or buck dancing. An interpretive 'hay-less' ride around the hamlet. There will be Historical Re-enactors representing the French & Indian War and the Civil War.
Also on hand will be a Blacksmith, Rob Wolford, demonstrating his trade. Then there is the art show held in a Corn Crib - "The Long Gallery". Leo Straw and others will be exhibiting Steam Engines, Antique Tractors, Model A and Model T Fords. . . . . .
Above the old hamlet looms Raven Rocks and adjacent to the village is a quiet dirt lane for a relaxing hike.
Also, Docents will often lead hikes to the Cold Vents on Ice Mountain - come early - approximately starting at 10 am & 11 am.
