OPENING GALA: JUNE 6, 2008 (Friday 6:30-9pm)

This great party kicks-off the weekend and provides the public and artists a sneak-peek of the Preview Exhibit. VIP invited guests include Mayors of Danville and San Ramon, city officials, SRVUSD school leaders and local media. Free to public, family
friendly. Includes great food, wine and live music to celebrate local arts!
OPEN STUDIOS TOUR: JUNE 7-8, 2008 (Sat+Sun 10am-5pm)
Our full-color brochure/map will lead you on a fun journey throughout Danville, Alamo and San Ramon, with the opportunity to meet nearly 100 talented local artists. Bring friends, family and students along to enjoy demonstrations, inquire about the artwork, collect unique masterpieces and support local arts.

The Community Art Education Program (CAEP) has been raising money since 1992, but we need more support for funding these art grants... our district has grown to 33 schools! Use our Contact Form to get more info.

Download a registration forms here -- Artists who register by May 9th will be promoted on our website, included in the final map list provided at the Preview and in our media releases. This is not a craft show; a limited number "fine crafts" may be considered but are not guaranteed space. All participants must have a CA Resale Tax ID.
DANVILLE TOWN MEETING HALL IS FULL. We still have space at the San Ramon Community Center.

Here are areas we will need volunteers for, so thank you for letting us know how you can help. Use our Contact Form to get more info.
- Artist Relations (recruit participants, pair artists with locations, conduct orientation meeting...)
- Preview Exhibit (receive/hang work, labels, sales, display panels, staffing, guest book, artist binder...)
- Opening Reception (invitations, food/drink, entertainment...)
- Sponsors (enlist 8 advertisers + donations for reception; ADAS will provide a sales kit to support this effort)
- Signage (along tour route: arrows, balloons...)
- Promotion (distribute flyers & maps to businesses, support ADAS Publicity as needed...)
- Post-Event Admin (artist surveys, collect mailing lists & donation commissions…)
Remaining planning schedule includes:
- June 7-8: OPEN STUDIOS (10am-5pm)
- June 6: Gala Reception for Open Studios weekend (6:30-9pm)
- June 6: Drop off preview artwork at Danville Community Center (9am-12pm)
- May 30: Our brochure/map is distributed in Danville Weekly
- May 9: Last day artists can register for event ; will be included in map addendum & online; too late for printed brochure.
- April 21: Artist orientation meeting (6-8pm) at Village Theater (233 Front St, Danville)
Our Chairperson will serve as liaison with the Town and media, conduct planning meetings, process artist registrations, design & print the brochure, keep the website updated and provide support to our committees.
