Museum of Art/Fort Lauderdale. One E. Las Olas Blvd.  Cuban art, both on and off the island, is thought-provoking, vibrant and visually rich. This exhibition is assembled from contemporary Cuban works in the museum’s own collection, one of the largest and most comprehensive outside of Cuba. Works by 40 artists include paintings, photos, videos, graphics and installations. Together these works present a complex portrait evoking the day-to-day reality of the Cuban experience–the Cuba remembered and the Cuba imagined–and reveal in a way impossible to express with words the human consequences of Cuba’s history. www.moafl.org
