Danville Offers “Fun for Families”

DANVILLE – A new Danville program beginning in April offers children and their parents an opportunity to do fun things together as a family.
“Fun for Families” events will take place 3 to 5 p.m. April 12 and May 24 at Oak Hill Park Community Center, 3005 Stone Valley Road; and 5 to 7 p.m. June 27 at Danville Community Center, 420 Front St.
The April 12 session, “Toddler Time,” is geared for bundles of energy ages 18 months to 3 years. Parents and children will learn new games and activities. Books with activities for toddlers will be available for sale for $10.
In the May 24 session, “Go Green,” participants will learn how to turn trash into treasure, creating beautiful crafts using all recyclable items. This event is for children of all ages.
The June 27 session, “Fancy Fruit,” is all about food. Children of all ages will be excited about cooking and eating healthy with a new twist on fruit. After eating, enjoy a Moonlight Movie on the Town Green.
Each session is $30 for Danville families; $36 for non-resident families. Register by calling 314-3400 or visit www.ci.danville.ca.us.
