We are a small family-owned independent insurance agency looking for someone to join us in our Hammond and Crown Point offices. Our family has been helping people protect themselves since 1939. We are searching for someone special who takes pride in their work, finds helping others very rewarding and truly cares about taking care of our family of insureds. The right person must be a fast learner, energetic, friendly, quick-witted, hard-working, and comfortable working in a very fast-paced, upbeat, fun, family-oriented atmosphere.
Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills are a NECESSITY. Must have Microsoft Office experience and developed computer skills. We need a dedicated individual looking for a long-term career. This position is multi-faceted, fast-paced and full of possibilities. If not already licensed, we would like to work towards getting our new team members fully licensed in Indiana and Illinois, when the timing is right, so they can reach their full potential in our agency.
Business hours are Monday thru Friday, 9am to 5pm. We are willing to discuss a flexible schedule considerate of educational/family, commitments/obligations and a part time opportunity could be possible. This is an in-office position…remote working is not a good fit due to the amount of foot traffic we get. We have a no-pressure environment. No sales minimums or monthly quotas to meet. Your income is not based on the number of policies you sell.
Compensation will be based on skill set, past experience and possible possession of an Indiana or Illinois Resident Insurance Producers License thru the Indiana and/or Illinois Department of Insurance. We would love to share our history with you! Let us start by sharing that we have 2 convenient locations to take care of you! Our original location is in Hammond, IN and we opened our second location in 2017 at 10740 Broadway, Suite B, Crown Point, IN! We can service all of our customers from either location! We are proud to continue our family's 80-year history of serving North Lake County and South Lake County along with all of Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky!
Our family’s insurance background goes back many years insuring families in Northwest Indiana since 1939. My grandfather, Edward P. Rosenwinkel started the agency in 1946 and moved it to the current Hammond location in 1960. My father, Edward C. Rosenwinkel, followed in Grandpa’s footsteps by first working for him and then becoming an agent in 1970. I started working for my father in 1988 and became the 4th generation of Rosenwinkel with the privilege of providing auto, home, commercial, life, and health insurance and more for our community.
My father passed away suddenly in 2014 and I am continuing my grandfather’s and father’s legacy that began more than 75 years ago. My wife Tami has joined me to continue the Rosenwinkel tradition of taking care of our insureds like family. Now that we are independent insurance agents, we work for you and are excited to be able to offer family-style service and selection for ALL your protection needs. We do the comparison shopping for you to help you get the best coverage at an affordable price in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio and Kentucky. We are no longer limited by the rates and coverages of only one company and restricted by only one choice.
