Early Childhood Center

Thank you for your interest in Early Childhood programming at Little Sprouts! Central United Methodist Church is proud to have been offering fully licensed programming opportunities for Waterford and its surrounding communities for more than 50 years. Our 2024-25 school year programs will include six once-weekly Family Play Groups (for families with children ages birth through three) a class of tuition-based Preschool for Threes (3 by Sept. 1, 2024), and a class of tuition-based Fours (4 by Sept. 1, 2024). All currently enrolled families will have the opportunity to register for 2024-25 programming on March 7-14, and open registration for any available openings for new families will begin at our Open House on Saturday, March 16 @ 10am-noon!

Our Goals

• To nurture an inclusive community of creative thinkers, hands-on learners, curious explorers, and kind humans
• To support the development of traditional school-readiness skills in a lovely non-traditional setting
• To build a strong foundation for learning and love of school
• To promote an appreciation of the world around us, through a balance of daily indoor and outdoor learning opportunities
• To utilize a child-centered, play-based curriculum guided by the needs, interests, and abilities of the children
• To offer ALL children the opportunity to be leaders, problem-solvers, risk-takers and care-takers
