Know Your Enemy

Bedbugs

Bedbugs are small insects that are common in New York and Hudson Valley area. Adult bedbugs have flat, brown oval bodies and are about the size of an apple seed. They are usually active at night and feed on blood in order to grow and reproduce. Bedbugs do not cause or spread diseases, but their bites can lead to infections. Some people do not have a reaction to bites and may be unaware that bedbugs are in their home until they see them.

Bedbugs like to hide inside of mattresses, under the mattress seams, and especially in the cracks and crevices on the box springs. Other than beds, these bugs often hide in cracks in furniture, floors, walls and other areas near where people sleep or lounge.

Termites

With their saw-toothed jaws, they can gradually consume 1/5 ounce (or 5 grams) of wood daily, even with a smaller colony of 60,000 workers. Act now to safeguard your property and prevent extensive structural damage.

Wasps, Hornet and Yellow Jacket

There are 4,000 kinds of wasps in the United States. Typically, wasps are most active during the day and usually return to their nests at dusk. These pests are often seen flying around during the second half of summer and early fall when the colonies search for food that will sustain their queens during the winter.

Ants

Ants are social insects that belong to the family Formicidae and the order Hymenoptera, which also includes bees and wasps. They are known for their collective behavior, highly organized colonies, and complex social structures. Ants can be found on every continent except Antarctica, and they play vital roles in various ecosystems.

Mice And Rats

Mice and rats are small rodents known for their adaptability, intelligence, and ability to thrive in various environments. While mice are typically smaller and more timid, rats are larger and more robust. Both species have been studied extensively in scientific research and have a significant impact on ecosystems and human societies worldwide.

Cockroach

Roaches, also known as cockroaches, are resilient insects that have adapted to a wide range of environments. They are often associated with unclean spaces and can be a nuisance as they are known to carry diseases and trigger allergies.
