I've had the pleasure of working closely with Leslie Hyland, the executive director at Bellevue Senior Living, and can attest to her character and qualifications. Not only does she have a passion for the people and work she performs, but she has the professionalism and skill to manage the enormous workload of running a premiere facility like Bellevue Senior Living. Trusting the care of your loved ones to someone like Leslie is a no-brainer.

Seems to be a nice place. I've visited a couple times as my great grandma is staying here. The staff seem to all be really nice and they seem to have a lot of nice amenities to offer. It seems very clean and we'll kept here as well. Everyone seems to be pretty happy here.

This February I recently moved my mother into Bellevue Senior Living after my father passed away very quickly from Cancer in late January. I needed a great place for my mother and I needed a place where as her needs for extra help grew the facility could accommodate it and more importantly I needed a place that would feel like home. So after searching all over Green Bay and DePere talking with all the best places in the area for the money and sending my sister-n-law to be my eyes as having to do things all remotely I had the great pleasure to work with Terri at Bellevue Senior Living. After having so many different conversations with Senior Living places that could be adapted to assisted living, there are many great choices but Bellevue is clearly one of the best and if you want one with lots of activities run by great staff Bellevue will be your choice. It has now been more than a month and my mom goes to the packed exercise class that runs daily at 9, she has gone to different Card and Bingo events, she has gone to the Friday night social in the pub. She has talked to others that have used the car that is at their disposal and will be using the Monday medical bus as well as as the weather gets better she will venture out to the weekly trips to the stores. All in all our experience has gone so well. In less than 3 weeks I moved my mom out of her large 3 bedroom home from out of state and moved her in. The transition was smooth and days when she needs to be by here self she orders her food in but that has been very rare. She has enjoyed the food and tried so many tables meeting new people. It has been a new chapter. Ensure you come in for the tours and Terri will be a great help in answering any questions you have!

I worked with Terry Schimmel Marohl for over a year in assisting me for a potential move for my mother into Bellevue. Turns out my mother's health required a higher level of care so we didn't move her to Bellevue. But, Terry was always very helpful, understanding and professional. She was a pleasure to deal with.

I had two family members and 2 friends live there. I felt staff were friendly, and the facility offered as much variety and freedom as can be allowed in a facility. I find it on par with other facilities. As an alternative to staying in your home, I would encourage another person to consider living here. My concerns are generalized to all facilities: 1) Faster logistics, following med changes; as everything is bubble packed, without alternative options possible. There needs to be flexibility with this policy. I believe the video chats (skyping) with pharmacists for families from certain clinics could be a solution for doctors, pharmacists, and facility nursing staff as well. 2) the inability of these facilities to be the last home of loved ones, as their conditions change, especially those suffering with aging brains, and/or pallative care. 3) the facility owners inabilty / unwillingness to undergo rigorous updates and maintenance on a regular basis. Common areas and public spaces regularly need significant updates, internally and externally. Curb appeal does suffer at most of these places.
