About CPAA

The Central Pennsylvania Animal Alliance (CPAA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to save the lives of dogs and cats in central Pennsylvania through spaying and neutering, rescuing, fostering, adoptions, training, and public outreach and education.  The official registration and financial information of CPAA may be obtained from the Pennsylvania Department of State by calling, toll free, within Pennsylvania, 1-800-732-0999.

In addition to rescuing stray, abandoned, and abused animals, providing all necessary vet care for them, and then placing them in loving, forever homes, CPAA has two life-saving programs—De-Sex in the City and Hounds of Prison Education (HOPE).

De-Sex in the City provides low cost spay/neuter surgeries and vaccines to dogs and cats in central Pennsylvania.
Every litter is a tragedy, because each litter of puppies or kittens born means that more shelter animals die.  The proactive way to stop the killing is by spaying and neutering.  You see, if we can prevent animals from being born through spaying and neutering, we can prevent them from being killed. CPAA’s De-Sex in the City spay/neuter program makes it affordable for every pet owner to get their pet spayed or neutered and vaccinated.

HOPE pairs carefully screened inmates at the State Correctional Institution at Camp Hill with rescued dogs for training, to help get them adopted more quickly.  All of CPAA’s programs are saving animals’ lives!

CPAA brings together individuals and area rescue and shelter groups to save the lives of dogs and cats.  By working together, we can create a community that does everything possible to save the lives of dogs and cats.

Don’t breed or buy while homeless animals die!  PLEASE, spay or neuter your pets and opt to ADOPT !
