    - Do you believe in Magic?
Join us for an enchanting evening at Dogs are Magic, Paws & Think’s Inaugural Extravaganza. Our goal Is to bring together partners and leaders in the community, who are al dog-loving supporters, together to raise funds to help improve lives through the power of the human-dog connection.

This event will be emceed by the wonderful Patty Spitler of BoomerTV/PetPalsTV. This exciting event is our first, large-scale fundraiser and an opportunity to promote our organization and the work we do. Marvel at the magic while attendees will enjoy themselves to magically-themed activities, food, and dancing. Tickets are $75 per person. Sponsorship opportunities are available. Please contact Kelsey Burton for ticketing and sponsorship opportunities.

Paws & Think is a non-profit organization focusing on the at-risk community, both human and canine. Our vision is to create a community where “every person who would benefit from a dog has the opportunity, and every dog fulfills its potential.”

We do this with two proven methods: one of training and providing therapy animals for both animal assisted activities and animal assisted therapies to youth, seniors and special needs individuals of all ages. The second method is our Youth–Canine Programs that facilitate classes for at-risk youth and teens, helping them to train shelter dogs with positive reinforcement behaviors. The young people learn responsibility, job readiness, anger management, parenting skills, leadership and positive life skills, while at the same time increasing the dog’s chances of adoption because of the basic obedience skills learned. Pride and confidence are found as a result of both aspects of our vision.

  • | 12:00pm - 1:00pm | Local Events
    - Nancy Miller presents her artistic gourds. Artist's Statement: Gourds are the magical element that showed me I could "sing". I see gourds as nature's sculpture. The gourd's form and surface, nature's leftovers, and my imagination coalesce to bring the lowly gourd to a state of exquisite beauty. And in the process I, too, am enriched beyond my dreams. My creative process is long and full of obstacles. It is very detailed and I experience an almost meditative contentment as I work. "

Delivered free of charge every December to millions of homes across America, our full-sized, full-color calendar is a time-tested and beloved tool for helping families stay organized. The large date blocks are not only loaded with lots of nearby events and fun things to do, there's plenty of room for you to record your own family's important events like birthdays, anniversaries, parties -- anything you have planned -- so everybody in the house can see them whenever they go to the fridge, out the front door, or wherever you choose to display it.

But there's more! Every calendar is full of coupons from popular local merchants, so you can save money while supporting small businesses right in your hometown.

And don't miss our beautiful full-color photography! Every month you'll recognize a new photo from someplace close to home, submitted to us by a local photographer. If you'd like to have your own hometown photos included in our calendar, please contact your local publisher for more information.

We truly believe it's better to "keep it local". From coast to coast and border to border, our network of franchisees work with organizations and merchants right in their community to make sure you get the information and savings you care about. If there's something happening close to home that folks in your neighborhood need to know about, why not submit it to us today? Please note that publication of your event is subject to approval by your local Town Planner publisher.

If there's no Town Planner calendar in your area, you could be looking at a great business opportunity!
