    - Lights at the Brickyard, the popular, drive-through holiday display that debuted last year at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, will return from Nov. 17 through Dec. 30 this year with a longer route and over 2.5 million bright lights illuminating an expanded lineup of colorful displays.

The Lights at the Brickyard course will expand to more than 2 miles from last year’s 1.7 mile layout. As in 2016, the route—which travels through the IMS infield and along the front stretch of the historic oval—will cross the world-famous Yard of Bricks start-finish line.

General admission will be $25 per car on Mondays through Wednesdays and $30 per car Thursdays through Sundays at the gate, with standard entry lane access. Vehicles with 15 or more passengers will be charged $50 at the gate any day, with standard entry lane access. General admission can be purchased only at the gate, with each admission valid for one drive through the displays per vehicle.

The popular Speedy Pass will also return, allowing participants who want the quickest access to the course to skip the longer lines and arrive through a special entry near the IMS golf course. Online price is currently $40. The online prices increases to $50 on November 17. The on-site price is $50 Monday - Wednesday and $60 Thursday - Sunday. One pass per vehicle.

Operating hours for Lights at the Brickyard are 6-9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 6-10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

    - This course is approximately 8 hours long and includes both a classroom component and live fire exercises on the range. The course is offered both as a co-ed class and as a "Ladies Only" course - although the content of the two courses is identical. NRA Basic Pistol is designed for the beginning shooter as well as anyone who may have some experience with a handgun, but has never learned the fundamentals of handgun marksmanship the right way.

In Basic Pistol, students learn NRA's rules for safe gun handling. Students will learn the operation of both revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. They will learn the different parts of both types of pistols and their operation. They will be taught the different types of ammunition and the manner in which ammunition functions. Students will also learn how to safely clean their pistol and responsibly store their firearms in their home or vehicle.

As for live fire training, students will learn shooting fundamentals and range safety rules. Students will be instructed how to shoot from the bench rest position before proceeding to the two-handed standing shooting position and the one-handed standing position.

Students will also learn of their continued opportunities for firearm skill development. They will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and receive a course completion certificate.
