    - Wisconsin Native American Playwright Festival Announces Their Summer Theatre Schedule

Green Bay, July 10, 2017: The Wisconsin Native Playwright Festival sponsored by the Oneida Community Education Center, works with beginner and established playwrights to produce new Native American plays in both stage readings and full productions. The process begins through playwriting workshops, then a script editing process, casting and rehearsals and finally a full production that travels to Native American communities throughout Wisconsin. This is our second summer theatre season.
The purpose of our festival is to encourage Native American writers, performers, and technical staff to share their stories with their communities. We see this as a natural continuation of the oral traditions that have always been a part of Native American culture. This year the plays will take place in four Native American communities to include:

    - This war is also known as the First World War or the Great War. It was a global war originating in Europe that began on July 28th,1914 and lasted until November 11th,1918. The assignation of the Archduke Francis Ferdinand and his wife by a Serbian nationalist is what provoked this war. Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia, which was the formal beginning of the war.

    - Welcome to your excuse to go out and have a great time! For those who haven't been - have a look below for the history - Regulars, you know the deal - new friends, this is a fun night out for you and your craziest (or not so crazy) friends to kick back and enjoy hearing and singing along with your favorite songs from over the years! This event and has something for everyone - And will ALWAYS have liquid encouragement!

    How it Works:
Provide your requests w/Song, Artist, and your name (and tip, if you want to jump to the front of the line). All songs will be pulled up and projected onto a screen for all to sing along with.

Grab a mic with you (and your friends) and go all 'rock star'! Or, just sit back and sing-along from your seat! Songs submitted w/tips will magically find their way to the top of the pecking order!

Remember, we're out for fun and singing along. The piano man reserves the right to veto songs that aren't sing-a-longy (yes, it's a word) enough... or that he doesn't know how to play (extremely rare). FUN FOR ALL! ALL FOR FUN!
