    - The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. Our Task Force is a privately funded organization whose purpose is to encourage participation on the National Day of Prayer. It exists to communicate with every individual the need for personal repentance and prayer, to create appropriate materials, and to mobilize the Christian community to intercede for America’s leaders and its families. The Task Force represents a Judeo-Christian expression of the national observance, based on our understanding that this country was birthed in prayer and in reverence for the God of the Bible.

    - In its 25th year, the Run for Sight has a long history as one of St. Louis’s most loved runs. Taking place at Ballpark Village, the run offers participants a flat race course and an inspiring event where people of all abilities participate in a Run for Sight! If running is not your favorite pastime, bring your family out for a two mile walk and enjoy all the activites we have to offer on a nice afternoon in St. Louis.

We Run for DGCkids! Run for Sight is the largest annual fundraiser for the Delta Gamma Center for Children with Visual Impairments. The mission of DGCkids is to help children who are blind or visually impaired reach their full potential through family-centered, specialized services and community support. All funds raised from the race and walk go toward critical programs and services provided by the Center.

Run. Walk. Volunteer. Donate. Sponsor. There are many ways to get involved with Run for Sight and DGCkids! Last year thanks to the help of volunteers and a record number of corporate and family teams there were over 1200 people at Run for Sight.

Here are the following ways you can support the Delta Gamma Center this May:
--Love to run? Our 5k is for you! Sign up as a runner today.
--Want to come out and support the cause? Bring as many family members as you can and join our two mile walk!
--Child that wants to come out? Free Kids' Dash each year is an option your children will love!
--Can't make it on Sunday? Online donations are always welcome, and we would love to have you sponsor a team to come to our event!
