The Capital Region's hometown fair features midway rides and games for all ages, the Royal Hanneford Circus, World of Wonders sideshow acts under the big top, Fearless Flores Family Motorcycle Thrill Show, live music, Jay Mattioli Magic Show, motorsports, Dynamo Dogs show, Jennifer's All Creatures Barnyard Races & Petting Zoo, Sherman's Lumberjack Show, livestock events, horse and pony shows, agriculture presentations, exhibits, Farmers Market, Altamont Country Store, Blue Ribbon Cooking Center activities, museum attractions, demonstrations, competitions, Beer Saloon, favorite fair food and more.

Fair highlights include Monster Trucks Meet & Greet (5 pm) and Freestyle Event (7 pm Tuesday); Nite Train and The High Voltage Horns (7 pm Wednesday); Skeeter Creek (8 pm Thursday); The Refrigerators (7:30 pm Friday); Big Sky Country (8 pm Saturday); and Demolition Derby (2 pm Sunday).

Pay-one-price admission (includes rides, shows, attractions and exhibits) for adults and children 36 inches or taller is $17 Tuesday - Wednesday and $19 Thursday - Sunday on site, or $15 online in advance. (Pre-sale ends at 11:59 pm Mon., Aug. 12.)

On Wednesday, seniors 65 and older, active duty military and veterans, and Grange members are admitted free (rides included) with ID until 6 pm.

The fair opens daily at 8 am for the livestock shows. Exhibits and vendors open at 11 am. The midway opens at noon and closes at 10 pm Tuesday - Thursday, 11 pm Friday - Saturday and 10 pm Sunday.
