Summer Reading Program - Ashland Library

More About Summer Reading Program - Ashland Library

The 2019 Ashland Summer Reading Program will start on Monday, June 17th and run through Saturday, August 10th. This year’s theme celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, which took place on July 20th 1969. Children, teens and adults may participate this summer by keeping track of the time they spend reading or listening to books. Help us reach our community goal of reading over 1,000,000 minutes! Can we beat last year’s total of 1,147,544 minutes?

Register and log your minutes at : click for details
or with the Beanstack Tracker mobile app.

Earn Weekly Rewards for every week that you log 60 minutes or more. Weekly Rewards may
be collected anytime between June 18th and August 31st, so you will be able to pick up your rewards even if you are away for most of the summer.

You will log your reading minutes online, either on your home computer, in the Library, or on your cell phone. We are using a new software package called Beanstack this year, which we think is a big improvement over Wandoo. It only takes about 3 minutes to register your entire family, and Beanstack sorts everyone into the correct program. You will be able to see how many minutes we’ve logged as a community each time you log-in. There is a mobile app which lets you scan ISBN numbers to input titles and authors if you want to keep track of which books you’ve read. You can also use the mobile app’s timer feature to automatically input your minutes. You can even add photos of each family member to your mobile account (only you will be able to see them). Weekly rewards include a free book. Children and Teens earn a library card lanyard when they finish reading 180 minutes. Children, Teens, and Adults earn a cloth “Universe of Stories” book bag for 240 minutes.
