Athletic Supply Donations Sought for High Schools, Sports Programs

Bandages and dressings, braces and crutches, antibiotic ointment and bug spray, tweezers and towels, water bottles and coolers, exercise mats and ankle weights – these are some of the donated items being sought to support local high school sports programs and sports organizations.

Donations are being accepted on weekdays at six Central Texas locations during National Athletic Training Month, March 1-31, by Baylor Scott & White Health, which provides athletic trainers for teams and athletic events to alleviate costs for athletes, their families, high schools and community sports groups. Cash donations (payable to Baylor Scott & White Health) also will be accepted.

Drop boxes are available at the following locations:

• Ankle braces
• Knee braces
• Shoulder braces
• Hand/wrist/finger braces
• Crutches
• E-stim units
• Ultrasound
• TENS units
• Anatomical models (skeleton, bony structures, joints)
• Anatomical charts and posters
• Bug spray
• Sunblock (greater than 30 SPF)
• Disinfectant wipes/solutions
• Saline solution (contact solution)
• Antibiotic ointment
• Hydrogen peroxide
• Wound cleaner
• Alcohol prep pads/wipes
• Hand sanitizer
• Anti-itch sprays/creams
• Tape measure
• Tweezers
• Scissors
• Nail clippers/files
• Water bottles/holders
• Coolers
• Exercise bands
• Dumbbells (less than 20 lbs.)
• Exercise mats
• Wrist/ankle weights
• Foam roller/stick rollers
• Massage lotion/Biofreeze
