Avon Lake Public Library Reopening

Avon Lake Public Library Reopening

More About Avon Lake Public Library Reopening

We are happy to announce the first phase of our TENTATIVE reopening on Monday, July 13 at 9:00 a.m. for checkout and walkthrough browsing.

Facial coverings are required. The library will have extra fabric masks for those who need one.

Walkthrough browsing means visitors can still briefly browse our collection to find their favorite books, magazines, games and DVDs. However, seating, computers, toys, meeting rooms and other services and attractions such as DiscoveryWorks, will also not be available during this phase of reopening.

Regarding facial coverings, extra fabric masks – provided by the Lorain County Health Department – will be available for free to those patrons needing them. Individuals with concerns about masks are encouraged to utilize our curbside service, which will continue to be available during this time. We will also have hand sanitizer stations for public use throughout the building, along with additional signage and measures to ensure social distancing. Returned material will continue to be quarantined for four (4) days.
