Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day, also known as Take Your Kids to Work Day, is an American holiday celebrated on the fourth Thursday in April.
The holiday originated as “Take Your Daughter to Work” day by Gloria Steinem and the Ms. Foundation for Women as a way to expose young girls to career opportunities.
The holiday was officially expanded to include boys in 2003, although they had been unofficially included much earlier.
