Crys Matthews Workshop: Sing Don’t Shout – An Alternative Approach at Clatter Café

When you are black, a woman, a lesbian, a preacher’s kid and in an interracial marriage in the South, difficult conversations abound. Singer-songwriter Crys Matthews plays her soulful music and shares what she’s learned during her life as “the poster child for intersectionality.”

This free event is co-sponsored by FSU Student Activities and Late at Lane. For more information, visit ces.frostburg.edu or call 1-866-849-9237 or 301-687-3137.

The engagement of Crys Matthews is funded through the Mid Atlantic Tours program of Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation with support from the National Endowment for the Arts. CES is supported in part by the Maryland State Arts Council. On the web at msac.org. CES is supported in part by the City of Frostburg.
