According to Steve Cocchiola, Orchestra Director, “This joint event continues to be a huge success, and our boosters, educators and students from all three groups are excited to work toward our fundraising goal of $15,000. Our hope is that the whole community will come out for breakfast, while enjoying our student performances that support our music programs.” Funds raised at the Pancake Breakfast will go toward Middle School band instruments, sound systems and acoustic sound panels in the music rooms, and instrument storage racks and lockers.

March is designated as Music in our Schools Month (MIOSM) sponsored by the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). MIOSM highlights the importance of quality music education programs in our nation’s schools. This raised awareness involves educators, students, administrators, parents and community members to find ways to celebrate creative music activities and advocacy.
