More About Writers Guild of Acadiana
For over three decades this non-profit organization The Writers Guild of Acadiana prime focused is to inspire, support and educate local artists; writers, illustrators, novelist and poets.
On the last Tuesday of the month @7pm at the 5705 Johnston St Barnes and Noble location in Lafayette, LA for about an hour and a half enjoy the creative sounds of words, stanzas and pictures.
Paid members are able to showcase their talents every other month reading their material with a five minute time limit as well as recieving "LA PLUME," the monthly newsletter. A guest speaker is featured on alternating months covering genres as historians, motivational speakers, published authors, educators, sci-fiction writers and much more.
Visitors can attend the first two meeting free. New members fees cost $30.00. Each January 1st yearly membership fees are due. Thereafter members pay $25.00
