BURR RIDGE, Illinois –This weekend Barbara’s Bookstore stages its grand re-opening in a beautiful new location at 770 Burr Ridge Village Drive, next to Topaz.
The festivities will include giveaways, discounts on just about everything and all kinds of entertainment. Each child receives a FREE kid’s book with purchase!
Here is the roster of events:
Friday, February 14
10:30 a.m.
Read Aloud! Story Time with the Indian Prairie Public Library for the little ones.
5:30 p.m.
Music! Listen to the vibrant tones of Tomcat Trumpet, fresh off performances at Electric Forest and Spring Awakening.

Saturday, February 15
12:00 p.m.
Authors! The Tooth Fairy’s Tummy Ache – Lori Orlinsky will sign copies of her delightful new storybook. Gorillas’ Night Out – Faith Goldstein autographs her award winning children’s book.
Balloons! Sparkles Entertainment is twisting balloons into amazing creatures for the kids.

2:00 p.m.
Music! Rock and roll legend, Grammy-winning, Jim Peterik will perform live. After the show, he will sign copies of his memoir, Through the Eyes of the Tiger.

3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Public art! Poet Carolyn Johnson, installed in Barbara’s window, reads moving poetry you can hear from the sidewalk.

Sunday, February 16
11:00 a.m.
Music! Bill Johnson serenades with his silky acoustic guitar.

12:00 p.m.
Balloons! Sparkles Entertainment brings blown up critters and more fun guaranteed to make the kids giggle.
