More About Walkabout Radio Plays

Bloomington will be transformed when you put your headphones on and step into a new world. Original radio plays will be available for download, along with maps to take you on an unforgettable journey. Listen to a new scene at each stop along the way as you experience the magic in your own backyard.

Cardinal Stage’s first play, The Women in the Woods by Josie Gingrich, is now available for download! It is the first in a series of four Walkabout Radio Plays to be released over the course of the fall season. The next installment, written by local playwright Emily Goodson, is set to be released in October. Playwrights Gingrich and Goodson worked together to establish a cohesive narrative arc that will develop throughout the four-play series. Visit our website to check out our current Walkabout Radio Plays!

While the plays truly come alive in the environment, they have been crafted to be enjoyed anywhere, including the comfort of your own home. For those unable to walk the route, Cardinal is happy to provide an accessibility companion document featuring photos of the walk.

To get access to the plays, “pay what you will” (suggested amount $10 - $15) at click for details
