Here are a few unique and interesting camps in Fairfield County:

The Stamford Museum and Nature Center will have weekly sessions, each with a different theme. Each camp will be led by an experienced Environmental Educator or Preschool Teacher, and will feature in-the- classroom and in-nature interactive experiences. Some of the weekly themes will include Woodland Wonder Art, Wild at Art, Exploring Nature and more. click for details

New Canaan Nature Center most popular summer camp for over 41 years! Weekly themes inspire young adventurers as they learn and play in our 40 acres of ponds, fields, and forest. Each session gives children an opportunity to simply “be a kid” while exploring the marvels of nature and making friends.

Fairfield Museum & History Center are offering In-Person Workshops and Curbside Activity Kits with those who sign up for the Curbside Activity Kits to partake in the same activities, but from home. Those participating form home will be able to share their work online: click for details

The Rising Starr Horse Rescue in Wilton offers riding programs for beginner and intermediate riders. They also offer independent riding programs. The Rising Starr Horse rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes horses. A typical day of camp will include: grooming, riding instruction, feeding and care, first aid, barn care, equine yoga, hiking, crafts, trail rides, clinics with a vet and a blacksmith, and so much more. click for details

For kids who love to perform, the Crystal Theatre, located at 66 Bayview Ave., S. Norwalk, has virtual summer theater classes you won't want to miss! For kids entering 7-9th grades, Crystal Theatre is offering Broadway Jr. Finishing School. Young adults entering 10th grade through college can take Broadway Finishing School. For those 5th-10th graders who have dreamed of starring in their own music video, that is also available! For younger children in 1st-4th grades, Crystal's offers Creative Crafting and Songs. And finally, your budding singer 5th grade and older can take private voice lessons virtually! click for details

The Discovery Museum, at 4450 Park Ave in Bridgeport, has some great summer science programs planned! Your children will receive hands-on, interactive STEM (science, technology, engineering and technology) programming. They will explore many great subject areas, including food science, computer coding, rocketry and even paleontology. click for details

Stepping Stones Museum in Norwalk has some fantastic STEM camps planned for your children this summer. Their week-long Camp Adventures at Stepping Stones will feature dinosaur discoveries, Eco Kids investigations, music making, science central and Summer Olympic celebrations! Stepping Stones is also offering a collaborative camp with the Maritime Aquarium, which will entail three days at the aquarium and two days at the museum. click for details

The Connecticut Audubon society has a brand new 10-week program of online and outdoor adventures, designed and run by Connecticut Audubon’s highly experienced team of Summer Camp directors and educators. It’s a great way for kids to have fun in this summer while connecting with the natural world.
