West Creek Mudrunners is back at the 2018 Lake County Fair with two nights of racing! Three classes each night. Watch from the stands, get up close to the action with a pit pass, or enter the event and get the best seat in the house (behind the wheel....... of your own vehicle!)

Participant Infromation:

Class Specific Rules
1.) 4-6 cylinder gas class: tires up to 44 D.O.T. No diesel. See general rules
2.) Stock Class: Full factory steel body, engine must be the same make and model. No mini trucks on full size chassis. Trucks must have exhaust extending past cab. Headers are allowed. No stall speed converters. Stock style suspension and lift kits are allowed. All equipment must be in factory stock position. D.O.T tires – no cuts. After market equipment is up to judge’s discretion. Must have license plates. No stock truck will be trailered in. See general rules.
3.) Alt modified class: Any factory body and chassis. “No Gutting”. No tube chassis. No 3 or 4 link suspension. Stock style suspension. No slider or slipper rear ends. No alcohol or nitrous. D.O.T. tires. Engine swaps allowed. See general rules
4.) Open Class: Any body or chassis allowed. Any suspension allowed. Blowers, nitrous, cut tires. Any tires allowed. See general rules
5.) Diesel class: All diesel trucks.


General Rules
1.) No refunds.
2.) The decision of the judge is final.
3.) The decision of the flag man is final.
4.) All participants must sign a waiver.
5.) Driver must be behind the wheel if vehicle is running.
6.) Helmets and seat belts are required in all vehicles.
7.) Roll bars are required in all vehicles with excessive gutting of cab.
8.) Drivers of vehicles without a windshield must wear goggles or a face shield.
9.) Drivers must keep all parts of their body within the vehicle during the run.
10.) No passengers allowed.
11.) One entry per class. A vehicle may be entered in more than one class.
12.) Once your class has started, go to the staging lanes.
13.) After drivers are announced, they have 3 minutes to stage at the starting line.
14.) No drivers under the age of 16 allowed. Must have a valid driver’s license.
15.) Drivers under the age of 18 must have a legal guardian’s signature.
16.) No driver under the influence will be allowed to participate.
17.) No alcoholic beverages allowed on the fairgrounds
18.) Each driver is responsible for the conduct of his/her crew.
19.) No neutral starts.
20.) No “hot dogging” in pits. 5 MPH
21.) All diesel engines will run on diesel fuel.
22.) No tire chains, cables, or other devices used on tires for traction.
23.) No farm or industrial equipment allowed.
24.) Any vehicle running out of the boundaries will be disqualified.
25.) Vehicles must have firewall protection from the engine compartment.
26.) Alt mod and open must have fire extinguishers.
27.) Fire suits are required for alcohol, nitrous, and/or blower equipment vehicles.
28.) Due to insurance reasons only one driver and one crew member allowed in the pit area.
29.) All rules subject to change.

More About this Event Poster: Lake County Fair

The Lake County Fair is presented on the beautiful Lake County Fairgrounds and is one of the largest county fairs in Indiana. We run 10 consecutive days starting the first Friday of August each year. We have over 30 carnival rides, daily horse shows, daily free shows such as the KidsBuck Game Shows, Silly Safaris Shows, and the Petting Zoo. Enter in one of our Free Contests! Exhibit buildings are full of agriculture, arts and crafts, flowers, 4-H projects, commercial vendors, demonstrations and conservation. Our barns are full of animals to see. Our grandstand features motor sports events; such as, truck and tractor pulls, Monster Trucks, mud drags, and demolition derbies. We have a huge variety of food vendors to satisfy any taste or for you to try something new! Come out and see the largest squash/pumpkin grown or see baby chicks hatched………we have something for everyone!
