Join us for our annual Summer Genealogy Conference – a chance to make new connections, hear educational lectures, purchase resource materials and maybe breakdown those stubborn brick walls! There’s always a chance to learn something new!

The Mchenry County Illinois Genealogical Society’s 2018 Summer Conference will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at McHenry County College, 8900 Rt. 14, Crystal Lake, Illinois.

This year’s annual conference will feature:
• Judy Russell, the Legal Genealogist
• Lisa Alzo, M.F.A., author of “The Family Tree Polish, Czech and Slovak Genealogy Guide”
• David Rencher AG, CG, FUGA, FIGRS, chief Genealogical Officer for FamilySearch
• Curt B. Witcher, the Allen County Library’s Senior Manager for Special Collections
• A number of vendors with publications and genealogy supplies.

Back again year will be the Genealogy Help Desk – a spot where people can speak with one of our volunteers (one-on-one) and ask basic genealogy questions.

Be sure to register soon for this great conference – registration deadline is June 15, 2018. Registrations are $50 for members, $60 for non-members which includes lunch. Registrations after June 15th are $75 and do not include lunch.

The McHenry County Illinois Genealogical Society is a non-profit, tax exempt organization of family history researchers from all over the United States, Canada and Germany.

The purpose of the McHenry County Illinois Genealogical Society (MCIGS) is to foster an interest in genealogy, provide instruction in current research methods and practices, and support the preservation of and access to genealogical and historical records.
