The Bedford County Historical Society will host William Roy Mock, the author of “A Final Salute: Gloves On / Safety Off” on Saturday December 7th 2019, at 2:00 pm for a book presentation and signing. “A Final Salute: Gloves On / Safety Off” the history of the Fort Bedford Honor Guard of Bedford, Pennsylvania at the 1st floor of the society’s library at 6441 Lincoln Highway, Bedford.

The publication highlights the development stages of the Fort Bedford Honor Guard from its beginning thru the early history and extend to the present time.

William Roy Mock served four years in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged. Mock is a retired high school teacher and accomplished county historian. He has been an active member of the Fort Bedford Honor Guard for well over a decade.
