National Night Out Cumberland

8th Annual National Night Out Cumberland - Let's Give Crime and Drugs a Going Away Party. 'America's Night Out Against Crime' involves 16,000 communities and 38 million neighbors nationally. Cumberland will be holding three events. 1st Event: NNO Free Swim & Movie Kick-Off Event will be held at Constitution Park Pool on Monday, August 1; the Free Swim is from 6 - 8 pm, and the movie begins at dusk. Cumberland Police Department will be present. Swimmers have a chance to win prizes. National Night Out Cumberland will be held on Tuesday, August 2, from 5 - 8 pm on Somerville Ave. in Cumberland. The Opening Ceremony will begin at 5 pm Event will be held on the street between First and Fourth Streets in front of the Salvation Army. We will have many local public safety partners, nonprofits, and businesses participating with music, games, information, giveaways, food and drink. This is an excellent opportunity to bring Cumberland Police and Citizens together in a positive atmosphere and to rediscover our own community. 3rd Event: NNO 'Porch Lights On from Dusk 'til Dawn' campaign begins at dusk on Tues., August 2, through dawn on Wed., August 3. This is a way for City residents to stand together and promote awareness, safety, and neighborhood unity while also reducing criminal activity and inappropriate street behavior.
