Chicago’s Ruth Page School of Dance announces the DeKalb, IL audition for its four week 2020 Summer Intensive Program. The auditions will take place on Monday, Feb. 17 at Northern Illinois University, 1425 W. Lincoln Hwy. Audition times will be determined by age group. Dancers age 17+ will begin registration at 10:30 a.m. and audition from 11 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. Dancers age 11 – 17 will begin registration at 1:30 p.m. and audition from 2 p.m. – 3:30p.m. Ruth Page School of Dance’s Summer Intensives offers an experienced and dedicated faculty of dance professionals and international partners, who are committed to developing well-rounded dance artists through high-quality training. Their mission remains to embrace diverse cultures as a source of inspiration for creativity and human self-expression in dance and create lifelong ambassadors for the arts of dance.

The 2020 Summer Intensive, The International Dance Experience, will take place from June 22 - July 17 and will include guest artists and instructors from Cuba’s Escuela Nacional de Ballet, Italy’s Mandala Dance Company and Profession Dance, and Spain’s Conservatorio Professional de Danza A Coruña. Classes will be taught in Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Jazz, Contemporary, Afro-Cuban and more. An informal summer performance will take place on July 17.
