More About Powisset Farm

Historic Powisset Farm, in Dover, MA, is a 108-acre vegetable CSA farm that has a farm stand, children’s animal barnyard, a lovely hiking trail, and a modern teaching kitchen. The farm offers cooking and other classes for both adults and children, and puts on events throughout the year, including Friday Farm Dinners in the summer, HarvestFest in the fall, seasonal hikes, family-friendly outdoor events, and more.

Stroll down the farm lane, say hello to the barnyard animals, and admire the rows of vegetables and herbs. Take the loop trail beyond the cultivated land to an upland oak forest, a pair of brooks, vernal pools, and wooded wetlands, and gaze across furrowed croplands and thick hay fields attracting white-tailed deer, wild turkey, and grassland-nesting bobolinks. Mowed trails through the hay fields link to adjacent Hale Reservation, and Noanet Woodlands lie across the street.

The farm is open to the public: daily, year-round, sunrise to sunset. The farm stand and animal barnyard are open seasonally. More information about the farm and its classes and events can be found at http://thetrustees.org/powissetfarm.

Powisset Farm is owned by The Trustees, the oldest land conservation organization in the country, which has been working for over a century to preserve properties of exceptional scenic, historic, and ecological value in Massachusetts for public use and enjoyment.
