More About Central Park Synthetic Ice Skating Rink
Who's up for some ice skating? Dyer Parks & Recreation's synthetic ice rink is up and ready to go. Although we will have the lights on after dark (most nights), please be respectful of the rink rules. Have fun and share your pictures with us. Central Park synthetic ice rink:
Open daily from 10am-6pm (hours may change at any time)
Ages 15 and under. Skate at your own risk.
This rink is located inside the tennis courts, next to the ice rink.

Dyer Parks and Recreation Central Park Synthetic Ice Tiles
Synthetic ice tiles have been placed under the lighted pavilion at Central Park. This is a small surface meant to be used for skating enjoyment and regular ice skates must be worn when using this surface.
Synthetic Ice Tiles Rules:
1. Only ice skates are allowed on the synthetic ice surface.
2. The synthetic ice-skating tiles are not real ice but are 18” x 18” tiles that resemble ice. Each tile is very slick. All participants must use caution when using the synthetic ice tiles.
3. No hockey games, hockey sticks, hockey equipment or nets allowed, this surface is meant for skating only.
4. Proper protective skating equipment is highly recommended.
5. Kicking holes, chipping, gouging, or removing the synthetic ice tiles is strictly forbidden.
6. Any behavior that poses a risk to other skaters’ safety is strictly prohibited.
7. The synthetic ice tiles can be used in above freezing temperatures, however the surface will be closed during inclement weather, such as rain, snow.
8. This is an open synthetic ice tile surface for Dyer residents to enjoy. All persons using the synthetic ice tiles recognize and assume all risk in using it.
9. The synthetic ice tiles are not staff or supervised. To report any issues, please contact the Dyer Parks and Recreation Department at 219-865-2505
10. All Park rules apply to use of the synthetic ice tiles.
