Spruce up your child’s Saturdays

See your child's creative side come alive through art. This 8-week program covers a variety of techniques that are good for learners of all levels. Bring some color to your child's spring by signing them up for Artology.

Artology 1
Elementary aged artists (grades 3‐5)
This course is for the elementary aged child that wants to create more art and just can’t get enough! Every Saturday class will be spent working with different art media from chalk pastels to drawing pencils, watercolor to acrylic, fibers to glass and even clay! Instructor Julie Schaller has many years of experience teaching art using all kinds of different media.

Artology 2
Middle school artists (grades 6‐8)
This course is for the middle school aged child that wants to continue expanding on their skills or trying something new. Each Saturday class will be spent working with different art media at a more advanced level. Everything from chalk pastels to drawing pencils, watercolor to acrylic, fibers to glass and even clay. Come and join the fun!

Goals for both age groups:
• Proper painting techniques
• Differences and similarities between paints
• Learning about ceramics and glazes
• Learning how glass is made and how we can fuse it
• Fiber arts‐natural materials vs. synthetic
• Cultural exploration
