More About Angel of Hope Candlelight Remembrance Ceremony

Each year, nationwide, the communities around the Angels of Hope gather together to remember, commemorate and honor our children. You are invited to join us every December 6th at 7pm for a candlelight ceremony at the Angel of Hope Memorial Garden in Forest Park, Noblesville. Free for all to attend.

The Angel of Hope was inspired by the book and hit movie The Christmas Box, by author Richard Paul Evans. In the book, a woman mourns the loss of her child at the base of an angel monument. The first angel monument was dedicated in Salt Lake City, Utah, on December 6, 1994. Since that time, over 100 other angel memorials have been created in the US.

In 2011 a group of bereaved parents and other community members shared a vision of a quiet and healing place where parents and families can remember their children. With this vision in mind, the group decided to create a memorial garden with the Angel of Hope as its centerpiece. It is a beacon for all regardless of religious background who are trying to cope with the emotional and physical absence of their child.
