More About Breaking Down the Portrait

Through this course, students will discover the breadth of portraiture and learn technical skills to produce lifelike images. Instructor Lily Morgan will introduce every medium with a demonstration and provide an exercise for students so they can get comfortable using the particular medium before committing to a final project. To understand form and value, students will practice facial features and value transitions to gain confidence with each new medium before working with color. Free and open to ages 13-18. Registration is required through our website: Click for Details

OUR MISSION

The Norwalk Art Space strives to increase opportunities and equity in the local arts community by offering free art and music education and mentorship to under-served students, sponsoring and promoting local artists through our Resident Artist program and Korry Fellow exhibitions, and providing the public an exciting venue to explore art and music, all free.

Our beautiful building, ADK House, was named in honor of our founder, Alexandra D. Korry, whose vision inspires everything we do.
