More About Sound Bath Demonstration

Join us on Monday January 30th at the Adams Memorial Library for a FREE Sound Bath and educational demonstration. Gabby will talk about Sound Healing and its benefits and how sound healing works, before having clients participate in a Sound Bath to demonstrate its effects!
Sound healing is an alternative energy medicine practice that works to stimulate the physical body and the Bio Energetic Field commonly referred to as the Auric Field. In short, the physical body is comprised of energy moving at different rates. Our bodily processes such as, digestion, respiration, circulation, all produce a certain amount of energy. That energy then creates a magnetic field around the body which can be observed as the Aura. Science has already shown us that everything is made up of energy-no matter what. And energy is essentially vibration that can either become physical or stay "non-physical". It has also been scientifically proven that the Aura does really exist and even extends 4-5ft out from our body! The Aura works in relationship to our physical body and our environment to keep the whole system balanced and regulated. How sound healing fits in is, the actual sound and vibration penetrate every layer of this energetic field and balance out/stabilize any disruptions in the field before they form physically into what we call "disease" or "sickness" but also works to heal and reverse diseases already formed.

Because everything is energy, sound healing therapy is extremely powerful in the way that it is able to work with the physical body and the energetic body to clean out anything causing blockages in and around the body. Essentially it is restoring the body and brain back to it's original, healthy frequency. It is highly beneficial for a number of ailments like: neurodegenerative diseases, anxiety, depression, insomnia, brain injuries, physical aches and pain and can even help one going through a huge change or spiritual revelation in life. It's also great for changing the brain waves to a more relaxed and open state and for turning off the bodies stress response which in and of itself is so important for combatting disease and cancer.
Here's how my sessions usually go: I'll usually explain sound healing briefly and then get some info on the client and what they'd like to focus on if it's an individual session. Next I'll explain what they may experience during the session physically and mentally. I start by having everyone either lie or sit down with the back straight then I guide each person in taking a few deep, belly breaths to calm the nervous system. I then invite everyone to close their eyes and silently set an intention for what they want to get out of the experience. I then begin the sound healing using my crystal bowls, Native American flute, Tibetan steel bowls, tuning forks and my voice. (sometimes drums and bells/wind chimes too) Sessions last anywhere from 30-90 minutes. After time is up I gently invite everyone to open their eyes, take their time coming back to reality and open up the space for anyone to share their experience. This is a general guideline for sessions but I always flow with what I intuitively feel called to do in the moment!
