Kenneth Noll, appearing as "Charles Darwin", will speak in-person at the Monday, February 13, 2023 meeting of the Humanists and Freethinkers of Fairfield County (HFFC). Noll's talk, "Charles Darwin versus the British and American Scientists of his time," will cover the scientific evidence gathered on the Beagle's second voyage and its effects on 19th century science -- geology, paleontology, geography, botany, and zoology -- and the controversies of his time.

Dr. Kenneth Noll is a Professor Emeritus of Microbiology at the University of Connecticut and for many years has portrayed Charles Darwin in museums, schools, community events and universities. He depicts Mr. Darwin as a relatable man in presentations about his personal life, family, scientific activities, and his times.

This meeting is free and open to all. Registrants can join in person at the Wilton Quaker Meetinghouse or choose to participate virtually. Register at Click for Details to attend either in-person in Wilton, CT, or to receive a link to participate online.
