Laughtrax: Hard Headed Comedy

Hard Headed Comedy is ready to dominate The Palace Theatre's UpStage area as part of our LaughTrax series. This show will be hosted by Luz Michelle; Luz is like a stiff cocktail followed by a potent edible, you will always remember how she made you feel. Joining her for the evening are fellow comedians Alyce Chan, Alex Carbaño, and Liz Glazer!
Luz Michelle:
Part Colombian & part Native-Indian Luz Michelle was born in Bogota, Colombia but adopted by two Eastern European Jews and raised in the forgotten borough - with the second biggest dump in the world - that is affectionately referred to as "Heroin Island," Staten Island, New York. Luz has channelled this unique experience and background into a successful comedy career, gracing stages with her malapropisms and unique style at marquis venues such as Caroline's, The Stand, Dangerfield's, Lucy's Laugh Lounge and others throughout the Tri-State Area. She has also appeared on GMA, SXSW, NY Underground Comedy Festival, Portland, Maine Comedy Festival, North Carolina Comedy Festival, Laugh Riot Grrrl Festival, 5th Borough Comedy Festival, Ladies Room Comedy Festival and was the storyteller winner at Gotham Comedy Club. Alyce Chan:
Alyce Chan is a writer, producer and stand-up comedian who performs internationally. She has performed at the New York Comedy Festival at Caroline’s on Broadway, Broadway Comedy Club, The Stand and more. She has garnered over 20 million views on social media and is regularly seen on Scary Mommy. Alyce has been featured on CBC Radio, Today Parents and NBC New York. Alyce founded one of the biggest parenting platforms, MOMCOMNYC, which Vogue named among the top 6 funniest parenting Instagram accounts. Her dry sense of humor and honest views on parenting with an authentic approach makes her one of the most relatable comedians in the parent stratosphere.When she’s not sipping hot coffee, she is probably chasing after her kids slugging cold coffee that was once warm. Alex Carabaño:
Alex Carabaño is a comedian and restaurant owner from New York City. He won the New York Latino Film Festival’s national comedy competition for english speakers. He was also featured in HBO MAX’s Entre Nos , which is now streamable. Alex has run a Latin themed vegan restaurant, VSPOT, for the last decade—which allowed him to produce his own shows and acquire stage time. Liz Glazer:
Liz Glazer is an award-winning standup comedian, actor, and writer. Liz also won first place in the Boston Comedy Festival and has been featured in a full article in the Wall Street Journal (as well as Above the Law, Lex Magazine, the Pennsylvania Gazette, and other publications), and has opened for Myq Kaplan and Maria Bamford. Liz was also a part of the Seattle International Comedy Competition and will be a part of the upcoming HBO Women in Comedy Festival. As an actor, Liz has appeared on ABC's FOR LIFE and CBS' BULL , and is on the faculty at Lesly Kahn & Co., the Los Angeles acting studio. Liz is also writing a television pilot about her life, a draft of which was a semi-finalist in the Stage 32 writing competition. Click for Details
