More About Queen Bee: A Honey of a Culinary Experience

It isn’t easy being Queen. At this culinary experience during Pride Month, you’ll learn about the Queen of pollinators and the delicious honey the bee community makes for mere mortals to enjoy. A collaboration between Master Beekeeper Pete Fryckman and Powisset’s Chef Thi, the evening will share the wonders of beekeeping, and the flavor profiles of fresh honey combined with a lesson in creating seeded honey for culinary use. We’ll sample honeyed bits and bites including cheeses, meats, farm veggies and more, all while sipping honey infused cocktails. You’ll leave this evening inspired, and provisioned with new knowledge, delicious recipes and an elevated appreciation of the importance of bees — and Queens — in our daily lives.

Pete Fryckman is the 95th graduate of the Cornell University Master Beekeeper program, a member of the Eastern Apicultural Society, MASSBEE, and the Norfolk County Beekeepers Association; he is a favorite mentor to new beekeepers.
