Sanctuary Cafe East - Time Change During Lent

More About Sanctuary Cafe East - Time Change During Lent

Something special is happening on Wednesdays! Church members, non-church members and regular community people are coming to Sanctuary Café East! What is Sanctuary Café East? It is a safe and welcoming space for all in our community who want to sit and chat, read their book or laptop, connect with old friends or make new acquaintances, munch some comfort food and sip a good hot cup of coffee or tea. Cathy Kane and I set up the beautiful Eunoia Room with a welcoming atmosphere and open the space for a few hours. Think: Better alternative to Starbucks!

During Lent (most of March and part of April), we will be closed on Ash Wednesday and cut our hours back due to the Lenten Organ Recital Series in the Sanctuary on Wednesdays 12:15pm to 12:45pm. We will be open directly following the organ recital (approx. 12:45pm) up to 3pm. Please join us for a cup of tea or coffee and light lunch and some baked goods. Bring your friends or make new friends! Free will offerings are encouraged to cover our expenses.

We want to thank those church members and community people who have contributed baked goods and other items to our Café: Patty Loh, Linda Blaskey, Nina Engstrom, Madeleine Lee, Sandy Crape, Judy Nielson, Irene Juthnas, Lynn McNulty and Whitney Krueger. If you would like to contribute a food item (doesn’t have to be a baked good), please speak with me or Cathy Kane.

Also, Karin Layton is spearheading an effort to offer Tiffany window tours. Presently, we have updated scripts available for self-guided tours of the Tiffany Windows during Sanctuary Cafe East times. See one of us to sign out a self-guided tour guide. In the future, tour guides will be available when possible. If you are interested, please see Karin. Donations are welcome for the Tiffany Window maintenance fund.
