ANNUAL HUMMINGBIRD SIGHTING CONTEST

ANNUAL HUMMINGBIRD SIGHTING CONTEST

More About ANNUAL HUMMINGBIRD SIGHTING CONTEST

Guess when the first hummingbird will be spotted at the Penitentiary Glen Nature Center this spring. If your guess is closest to the date and time (between 9 am and 5 pm) that the first hummer is spotted at Penitentiary Glen, you will win a special prize basket! This could be your lucky year so get your entry in before May 1!

ALL ENTRIES must contain your name, address, phone number and the date and time (between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm) that you expect the first hummingbird sighting at Penitentiary Glen. All entries can be submitted here.

Please note: The Nature Center is currently closed due to Covid-19 safety protocols. Staff will monitor the hummingbird feeders daily and will report when the first bird is spotted. If more than one person guesses the same correct date and time, the winner will be randomly selected from those names. The hummingbird feeders will be installed at the Nature Center on Monday, April 12, 2021. Typically, the first hummingbird arrives at the Nature Center anywhere from mid-April through May.
