More About Birds - Love is in the Air! at Fishers Library

Spring is a wonderful time to be in love and people express their love in many different ways- like buying their sweetheart candy, taking them out to dinner, dancing, and delivering flowers. It turns out birds also establish pair bonds with their mates in some of these ways. During this program we will explore the similarities of both of our traditions and take a peek into their lives. We will also explore the different type of pair bonds that birds have from birds that mate for life to those that engage in more casual relationships. Nest construction, shared parental roles, and other nesting details will be discussed as well. Join Amanda Smith, Superintendent of Natural Resources and Education for Hamilton County Parks and Recreation (HCPR) and President of the Indiana Native Plant and Wildflower Society’s (INPAWS) Central Chapter for this program.
