Taught by Birgit and Richard Maguire. Sponsored by Fairs ‘n Squares Square Dance Club.

Round Dancing is a form of social ballroom dancing in which the steps are choreographed precisely to the music, and those steps are announced by a "cuer". Round dancing differs from ballroom dancing in that each round dance has been fully choreographed ahead of time, and a "cuer" tells the dancers what steps to do. A round dance looks different than ballroom dance in that all the dancers on the floor are dancing the same steps at the same time. Round dancing is easier than ballroom dancing since the man doesn't have to think it up as he goes.
The Fairs ‘n Squares, based in Framingham, MA, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the Square and Round Dance Community.
